About this activity
Free Evening Walking Tour of Amsterdam; Discover the city as the sun goes down!
Amsterdam transforms as evening falls, and this free evening walking tour lets you experience exactly that. The tour starts at 7.30 pm at the National Monument on Dam Square, right during the golden hour, when the canals are bathed in warm light and the city takes on a completely different, relaxed atmosphere.
Over the course of two hours, you’ll walk around 4 kilometres through the city centre, past highlights such as the Royal Palace, the Nieuwe Kerk and the UNESCO-protected canal belt. A local guide will take you on a journey through Amsterdam’s history and culture, whilst also giving you practical tips along the way for the rest of the evening: which neighbourhoods are safe to explore at night, where to find the best pubs and bars, and what’s best to avoid.
The tour ends back at Dam Square, ready for you to head out into the city. You pay what you like as a tip. Great for friends or couples who want to get to know the city in a relaxed way for an evening full of Amsterdam.
