Darwinpark City Farm: nature and animals right in the heart of Zaandam!
Darwinpark City Farm has been welcoming visitors of all ages since 1967, and you can really feel that in the lovely, homely atmosphere of the place. Calves, ponies, sheep, goats and all sorts of chickens and birds roam the grounds. Right on your doorstep, just as a farm should be. But there’s more to it than traditional farm life: in a special area, you can also admire unusual animals, such as a tarantula, bearded dragons, axolotls and tortoises. A lovely surprise for anyone who thought it was ‘just a petting farm’.
Since 2021, you can combine your visit with a challenging nature playground on the grounds, ideal for children who want to burn off some energy after seeing all those animals. With over 100,000 visitors a year, Darwinpark is a favourite spot for families, but also for anyone who wants to slow down for a while and feel a bit closer to nature.
