Shaggies Tufting Workshop

Shaggies Amsterdam; tuft your own rug at Amsterdam’s first tufting studio In a cosy studio on Czaar Peterstraat in Amsterdam-Oost, Shaggies teaches you a skill you’ve probably never tried before: tufting. Using a tufting gun, you’ll shoot wool threads through a canvas to create your own rug, cushion, wall decoration or pet portrait, step by step. The result? Something you’ve made yourself that looks truly professional. Shaggies offers workshops lasting 3 or 5 hours, depending on the size of your project. You choose your own design and colours, and professional tufting artists will guide you through the entire process. As well as tufting, there are also workshops in mosaic, crochet, punch needle, embroidery, macramé and weaving, so there’s something for every creative type. Private events can be booked for groups and company outings. The atmosphere is informal, inclusive and friendly. You don’t need any experience at all – just a desire to do something creative is enough. A unique and wonderfully hands-on outing for friends, couples or colleagues who want to do something completely different from the usual activities.
