About this activity
Make a leather bag at LeerAtelier Amsterdam; your very own bag, made with your own hands
In a cosy workshop on Van Speijkstraat in Amsterdam-West, you’ll make your own leather bag from start to finish under Audrey’s guidance. You’ll cut the leather yourself, sew the bag together on a sewing machine and decide on all the details yourself: the colour of the leather, the fastening and the length of the handle. The result is a unique bag that no one else has.
There are various workshops available: from a small bag to a larger shoulder bag or shopping bag, and even a festival bag. Have you never used a sewing machine before? No problem at all – Audrey will guide you step by step through the whole process. The leather used comes from offcuts or recycled sofa upholstery, making it a sustainable choice too.
Workshops are available at fixed times or on request, including for groups. The studio is on the third floor (no lift) and can only be visited by appointment. An original and personalised outing for anyone who enjoys making things with their hands – whether on your own, with a friend or as a group activity.
