Brewing beer at Mediamatic: from grain to glass Four ingredients. Endless possibilities. At Mediamatic in Amsterdam, you’ll learn how to brew your own beer in a one-day workshop – from milling to filtering and bottling. And no, you don’t need any experience to take part. The workshop takes place at Mediamatic’s Myco Brewery on Dijkspark, a unique venue where science, art and fermentation come together. Together with an experienced brewer, you’ll go through the brewing process step by step. Whilst waiting for the beer to boil, there’ll be time for questions, and you’ll get to taste and compare some special beers. Part of the workshop consists of two sessions: a brewing day and a bottling day. You’ll go home with your own six-pack, although you’ll need to be patient for another two weeks before the beers reach their full flavour. After the workshop, you’ll know enough to set up your own home brewery and experiment with flavours and ingredients. An original and educational outing, ideal for friends or colleagues looking for something a bit different from the usual activities.
